Call for Contributors
We publish writing by independent voices in dance — artists, writers, critics, and dancegoers. This is a space for voices outside the mainstream, and for conversations the independent dance world needs to have.
This call is open on a rolling basis until June 30, 2026.
We're currently looking for
Opinion - Writing on anything dance-related with an original position argued clearly.
Reviews - Experiential or critical writing on independent dance work. We prioritize a clear point of view over praise. Pitch the work you want to write about and why.
Conversations - An exchange between two dance artists on a topic they want to explore together. The topic needs to have stakes. Pitch with a clear sense of what you want to think through.

Pitches are reviewed within two weeks. We value clarity and accessibility. If a word only makes sense inside a specific circle, find a better one.
Contributions are selected on merit alone — no fees charged or paid.
